The Mystery Behind Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a basic structural component that can be found throughout the human body. Its role is to ensure the hydration and suppleness of the body’s organs and tissues¹, it is particularly present in the eyes, joints, and skin. But what makes it so special and unique, is its ability to absorb and hold up to 1000 times its weight in water².

Due to its incredible ability to hydrate, it is often used in eye serums to treat dry eyes, and in moisturising products for the face and other areas. As it is already naturally present in the body, it is a highly biocompatible substance³.

When used in aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid is transformed into a transparent gel and can be adapted to treat a variety of different needs: Volume loss, skin hydration, wrinkle filling….

As a manufacturer, Laboratoires VIVACY controls all stages of production in-house, and no compromise is made. With safety in mind, the production process is monitored from A to Z to guarantee the quality of our injectable STYLAGE^® Dermal Fillers.

In our Laboratory, we even take the time to inspect individual syringe to ensure that no particles can be found in the product. Providing you with the purest of gel possible for your aesthetic and anti-ageing needs.

THE SOURCE OF HYALURONIC ACID

ANIMAL OR NON-ANIMAL ORIGIN?

The body of an adult human contains approximately 15 grams of hyaluronic acid, 50% of which can be found in the skin – with 1 gram having the capacity to bind up to 6 litres of water⁴.

Laboratoires VIVACY prides itself in the fabrication of its gels using only non-animal origin HA that is obtained through a rigorous bio-fermentation process. What is more, there is a low risk of causing allergic or immune reactions⁴.

Once a gel has been obtained from the hyaluronic acid fibres, VIVACY applies its patented IPN-LIKE Technology⁵ to create the specific specifications and characteristics of each STYLAGE^® product so that they are perfectly adapted to the area and the desired results in which they will be injected. For example, STYLAGE^® Lips Plus for the delicate lip area to provide more volume and STYLAGE^® Special Lips, designed for the same area, but created to bring hydration and a subtle augmentation to the zone.

A DERMAL FILLER WITH ANAESTHETIC

STYLAGE^® products are considered as a 3rd generation filler thanks to VIVACY’s modern and patented technology. Despite being introduced to the market in 2008 (over 15 years ago), the range is considered one of the youngest and most innovative available for patients and practitioners. This innovation is due to the creation of the patented technology, IPN-LIKE⁵.

Thanks to IPN-LIKE, VIVACY was able to obtain stable gels, a process which helps ensure that the gel adapts smoothly to the face after injection, guaranteeing results that can last up to 18 months⁶ depending on the product and indication.

Lidocaine* was also added to some products in the STYLAGE^® range* to ensure comfort during injections.
